Jebel Jais Via Ferrata reopens

Ras Al Khaimah will reopen its Jebel Jais Via Ferrata on 1 November 2017. The 470-meter Jebel Jais Via Ferrata allows visitors to climb on Jebel Jais, the country’s highest peak at 1,934 meters.

The Jebel Jais Via Ferrata adventure will last around 4 hours and include three ziplines, the longest with 300 meters. Each climbing group consists of maximum 7 participants and 2 instructors. Tickets for Jebel Jais Via Ferrata are 400 AED each. Guided tours start twice-daily at 9am and 1pm. Bookings can be done online at

Furthermore, the longest zip line of the world will open in December. The exact length of the zip line remains a closely-guarded secret. But it is an open secret that the new zip line in Ras Al Khaimah will break the current world record, held by the 2,200-meter zip line called ‘The Monster’ in Puerto Rico.

The re-opening of Jebel Jais Via Ferrata and the launch of the world’s longest zip line will leverage Ras Al Khaimah’s spectacular mountain terrain and attract thrill seekers from around the world. Ras Al Khaimah will become the new adventure tourism hub in the Middle East.
