Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi recently opened the Expo 2020 Dubai office in Julphar Towers in Ras Al Khaimah. The Expo 2020 office in Ras Al Khaimah will involve individuals, government authorities and SMEs in its journey and provide them with opportunities to attract young qualified people from across the UAE to participate in the process of innovation, communication and exchange of ideas.
The Expo 2020 Dubai will promote the UAE's reputation and leadership in all areas, including the economic sectors that are based on innovation. The RAK office should facilitate communication and co-operation among the UAE citizens, residents and institutions, and ensure everyone's participation in the event, in a way that would reflect the prominent position of the UAE.
Furthermore, thousands of people are expected to mark the three-year countdown to Expo 2020 in Dubai’s Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) on Friday, 20 October 2017. The event will run from 4.30pm to 10.00pm and will include a ceremony at 8.20pm to celebrate the beginning of the three-year countdown. The celebration will include various attractions, a fitness challenge, local and international music and cuisine, as well as opportunities for the public to learn about Expo 2020.
